Q. What in the world is a Baggie Goose?
A. Baggie Goose is a stationery store and gift boutique in the historic Biltmore Village neighborhood in Asheville, North Carolina. It was originally founded in the 1970s by 2 families, the Bagleys and the Goosemans and named the Baggie Goose.
Q. How much do invitations cost?
A. There is a huge range of prices! We commonly create invitations ranging in price from $1 to $12 each, but we have created them for as inexpensive as $.60 and as much as $35 each. Factors that effect the price include: paper quality, printing process, number of inserts, quantity, embellishments, etc. Call us for a free design consultation.
Q. How long does it take to create invitations?
A. It depends.

Q. When should I order my invitations?
A. We are ready to start designing them are you? Here is a general timeline starting with the wedding and working backwards… • 4-6 weeks before the wedding, mail wedding invitations and order programs, menu cards, placecards, wedding announcements, thank you notes, personal stationery • 3-6 months before the wedding, order invitations • 6-11 months before the wedding, order save-the-date cards
Q. Can I customize my design? Can I create my own artwork?

Q. Why don’t you sell online?
A. 1) We value personal relationships! 2) We want to be able to share our years of design experience to help with elements of design and composition. 3) It is impossible to incorporate the infinite possibilities into a do-it-yourself, web based design system. 4) We want to make the whole process fun, relaxed, and help you achieve a final product you absolutely love!
Q. Do you have recycled/environmentally conscious products?
A. Yes… Even though we do not wear Birkenstocks every day or have hairy legs, we love trees! We have a variety of recycled and renewable media and we can share ways of reducing the carbon footprint of your invitations.
Q. I don’t live in North Carolina. Can you still help me with my invitations or personalized stationery?
A. Yes, absolutely! We can work throughout the whole process from initial consultation to design, proofing, and printing by phone, email, and fax. We ship worldwide.
Q. Do I need an appointment?
A. Although we invite you to visit our shop anytime, we encourage appointments so we can provide you with a personal design consultant who can give you undivided attention.
Q. What should I wear to my consultation?
A. Show off your personal style ~ or just wear whatever is comfortable for you. This is Asheville, after all.
Q. Can I bring wine?
A. Yes, we prefer merlot.
Q. Who should come to my consultation?
A. Anyone who knows you as well as you know yourself. Children are welcome, pets are invited!
